Voices of the Future celebrates the emergence of our youth as the next generation of Jewish leaders. Jewish Federation opens the doors to our future leaders through our flagship program, Passport to Jewish Life, which provides grants for youth participation in Jewish educational experiences across Orange County, North America, and Israel.  

Our 2022 Woman of the Year, Ann Moskowitz, is a role model of philanthropy, leadership, and community service. As a past chair of Jewish Federation’s Grants & Allocations Committee, she advanced support for our Jewish day schools, congregations, and communal institutions. Subsequently, at the helm of Jewish Federation’s Ruth Feuerstein Fund and its successor, Passport to Jewish Life, Ann spearheaded an exponential increase in our support for youth participation in Jewish informal education. Since 2007 more than 2,500 Passport grants have been awarded, totaling over $1.4 million, for Jewish summer camp, Hebrew/religious school, Maccabi programs, and Israel peer-group experiences. In 2015, her husband Joel Moskowitz^z”l established the Ann Moskowitz Passport to Jewish Life Endowment in her honor, to lay the foundation for a bright future in which the voices of our youth are strengthened by meaningful Jewish experiences, in perpetuity.

To honor Ann as the 2022 Woman of the Year and her everlasting legacy of supporting Passport to Jewish Life, tribute donations in support of the Passport to Jewish Life program are being accepted to provide more grants to more children for more Jewish experiences, enhancing Jewish journeys for countless children in 2022.
